Can I request new tags to be added? Follow

We sometimes get requests from users and creators asking us to add new tags. Here’s how tag requests work right now.

1. Keyword-based tags (e.g. categories, descriptors)

   We’re no longer accepting submissions for keyword-based tags (such as new categories or general descriptive tags).

   • The submission form for keyword tags is now closed.

   • You can still use and combine the existing tags to help people find your content.

2. Model-based tags (creator/model names)

   We still accept requests for model-based tags, but with a few requirements:

   • You must be a verified creator.

   • You must own the model name you’re requesting (for example, it’s your creator name, stage name, or brand).

   • You can request 1 model tag to be added.

If your request is approved, we’ll add it to our update queue. New tags are usually rolled out in batches, so it may take a few days before they appear on the site.

If you’d like to request a model-based tag, please contact Support at support@redgifs.com and include:

• Your RedGIFs profile link

• The exact spelling of the model tag that you’re requesting

• Confirmation that you own and use this name as your creator/model name

This helps us process your request faster and keep tags accurate for everyone.
