How do I upload an image to RedGIFs? Follow
Whether you're sharing a single image or building a full gallery, uploading to RedGIFs is simple and designed with creators in mind. Here’s how it works:
Before you start: Verified vs. Non-Verified upload access
If you’re a Verified Creator
Uploads are accessed through the Studio button.
If you’re Not Verified
The Upload button is available directly in the sidebar/taskbar.
Here's how you can upload:

Prefer text? Follow the steps below:
1. Click the Upload button
- On desktop: You'll find it in the sidebar
- On mobile: It’s at the bottom of your screen
2. Choose how you want to upload
You’ll see three options:
- Select image(s)
- Bulk upload images
- Create content from a link (for example, uploading from Imgur or another link)
3. Add your media
- Use Select image(s) to upload images in a scrollable gallery
- Use Bulk upload images to post multiple individual images as separate posts
4. Set your audience
Choose the main audience for your content. (e.g., straight, gay, lesbian, trans, bisexual, animated).
5. Choose your content type
If you’re a Verified Creator, you can select the content type across Solo, Couple, or Group categories.
6. Add tags
Tags help your content get discovered. Add at least three to unlock the Next button.
7. Select Niches
Click the Niches you'd like to add your content to. Make sure you've joined the Niche before you can add your content to it.
8. Add a description (optional)
If you’re a Verified Creator, you can include a description to provide context, express your tone, or help with discoverability.
9. Set to private (optional)
Want your content to be shareable by link only? Toggle it to Private.
10. Click Publish
Once you're happy with everything, hit Publish. Your image or gallery will go live for the world to enjoy.
