Why am I seeing a notice about age verification? Follow
We’re currently required to comply with new age-verification laws in certain locations. Because the rules are still changing and not always clear, we’ve temporarily limited access in certain regions while we work on solutions that are both compliant and respectful of your privacy.
How this affects you depends on where you’re located.
For users in certain U.S. states
Applies to: Tennessee, Alabama, Kansas, Florida, and South Dakota

You won’t be able to access RedGIFs until the restrictions are lifted.
We’re actively working to expand access through Creator Login and will share updates on our X and Instagram pages. If you’re outside these states but still see the notice, contact support.

If you’re NOT in these locations but still see a restriction
If you’re outside the listed U.S. states and the UK but still see an age-verification or location-based restriction, it’s usually because:
You’re using a VPN, proxy, or privacy tool that sends your traffic through one of the restricted locations.
Your internet provider is based in, or routes traffic through, one of those regions.
Certain browser extensions or add-ons interfere with how your location or IP is detected.
If this happens:
Check if you’re accessing RedGIFs directly via redgifs.com or being redirected from another site (like Reddit).
If you’re using a VPN or proxy, try turning it off and reloading the page.
Try disabling any privacy-related browser extensions/add-ons temporarily and refreshing the site.
Visit a service like myip.com to see where your IP address appears to be located.
