I’m already a verified creator. Why do I need to re-verify? Follow
If you’re a verified content creator using Studio, you may be asked to complete a new age verification check, even if you were previously verified.
This is part of updated compliance requirements and helps keep RedGIFs accessible and compliant.
What changed?
Starting March 3, 2026, Monday, KYC Age verification will begin rolling out to all verified creators on Studio.
You may also see a notice in the verification modal that says:
“Please complete this step by 23.03 to avoid any disruption to your account.”
Do I need to do it right away?
For now, no. You can still dismiss the modal, choose to verify later, and continue using Studio normally.
When will the verification prompt appear again?
If you dismissed the prompt to Verify Later, it should appear again within 24 hours.
If it has not shown up for a few days and you want to verify now, please go back to Studio: https://studio.redgifs.com/ and check again there, as that is where the verification prompt will reappear.
What happens after March 23?
After March 23, we may begin gradually requiring KYC for access to certain Studio features. This may include things like:
- using Studio subscribing to Spotlight
- accessing other creator tools and features tied to verified creator accounts
To avoid interruptions, we strongly recommend completing the KYC step before then.

Yes. Verification is handled through a secure third-party process.
