How is Creator Verification Different From Age Verification? Follow

Creator verification and Age verification are not the same thing.

Creator Verification (your verified checkmark)

Creator verification is for creators who want the verified badge, plus access to Creator Studio and its perks.

To request creator verification, you submit:

• Platform links
• An SFW photo

You can apply here to proceed: https://www.redgifs.com/user/verify. No ID or face-matching verification is required for creator verification.

Age Verification (new compliance requirement)

If you’re accessing RedGIFs from the UK, Oklahoma, and Kentucky, you may be asked to complete a new age verification flow, even if you were previously verified as a creator.

This is part of the updated UK and US compliance requirements and helps keep RedGIFs accessible and compliant.

What changed?

Access from the UK, Oklahoma, and Kentucky is now tied to completing the age verification flow.

That means:

• All users from these locations (creators and viewers) can log in and use redgifs.com if they successfully complete verification.
• If they don’t complete verification, they can still access the site’s Lite version.

Why is this required?

UK regulations require platforms like ours to verify age before allowing access to adult content. This update helps ensure we meet current standards and can continue operating in the UK.

Is my information safe?

Yes. Verification is handled through a secure third-party process.
